We exist as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit with a focus on:
1. The worship of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
2. The upbuilding of the church of Jesus Christ through the teaching of the Word and the ministry of the Spirit;
3. The persuasion of people to repent and confess Jesus Christ as Lord.
WE BELIEVE that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts and that they are the final authority, sufficient for all matters of faith and living. We believe the Bible is the whole counsel of God and does not contradict itself. 2 Timothy 3:15-17
WE BELIEVE that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, with each performing different functions while equal in power and glory; that this Triune God created all, upholds all and governs all. Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:26; John 1:1-3; 14-15.
WE BELIEVE in God the Father, an infinite and personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of mankind; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from sin and death John 4:23, 24; 3:16; Psalm 145:17-19, 1 John 4:14
WE BELIEVE in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son: being fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit; in His virgin birth; sinless life; miracles and teachings; His substitutionary atoning death by the shedding of His blood on the cross; bodily resurrection; ascension into heaven; perpetual intercession for His people; and in His physical return to earth to rule and reign.
1 Timothy 3:16; John 1:14; Hebrews 7:25; 1 Corinthians 15; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17; John 14:6
WE BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit, who was sent from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that He indwells and seals every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding: Helper, Comforter, Teacher and Guide. We believe that the Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit. John 14, 16:7-11; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12; Galatians 5:22-23, Ephesians 1:13-14
WE BELIEVE that all of mankind are sinners by nature and choice and therefore, under condemnation and need to be reconciled to God. We believe that God regenerates and indwells, by the Holy Spirit, those who, through faith, repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Romans 3:23, 6:23, 10:8-13; John 3:16; All four Gospels; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:4-5, 8; Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 2:1-8; Ephesians 5:18
WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as the substitutionary atonement in our place, and that salvation is found in none other than Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ’s death on the cross was the sole and complete payment for sins. This fully satisfies God’s righteous wrath for everyone who turns from sin in repentance and places their faith in Christ. Salvation is by grace alone, though faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone and for God’s glory alone. At salvation each person is made a new creation and indwelt by the Holy Spirit, declared righteous before God, and secured as an adopted child of God forever.
WE BELIEVE genuine salvation will be evident in the life of the believer as they surrender to God as the Lord of their life through the power of the Holy Spirit. The believer will continue in obedience to God’s word and love for Jesus Christ, with a life eager to glorify God, love others, and persevere to the end. (Romans 8:37-39; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 12:13)
WE BELIEVE that upon placing one’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, the believer is made part of the Body of Christ, the one universal Church, of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The Scriptures command believers to gather locally in order to devote themselves to worship, prayer, teaching of the Word, fellowship, the ordinances of baptism and communion, service to the local body through the development and use of talents and spiritual gifts, and outreach to the world to make disciples. Wherever God’s people meet regularly in obedience to this command, there is the local expression of the Church under the watchful care of a plurality of elders. A church’s members are to work together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 14:26; Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:6; Colossians 3:1-11; Romans 6; 2 Corinthians 11:23-34)
WE BELIEVE in, and await, the pretribulation rapture of the Church; and we believe that the second coming of Christ with His saints, after the seven-year tribulation period, in order to establish His kingdom on the earth, will be personal and visible. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:11-16
WE BELIEVE that God designed marriage as a unique conjugal relationship joining one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, life-long union. God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman joined in marriage. (Genesis 2:18-25; Ephesians 5:22-33)
